Tallawudjah Studio is the creative practice of Maddy Whitford, a multidisciplinary artist, storyteller, and visual thinker based on Mparntwe (Alice Springs). With a background spanning filmmaking, photography, community media, and design, the studio was formed as a quiet space to work slowly, collaboratively, and with care.

This is more than a service — it’s a philosophy. A way of shaping work that feels aligned, culturally safe, and considered. Whether capturing stories through light and lens, developing visual identity, or co-creating with community, the studio holds space for creative expression that’s rooted and reflective.

With experience across arts, media, and place-based work, projects often move between mediums — from film and photography to branding, editorial, and visual storytelling. The approach remains the same: honest, intentional, and deeply attuned to the story being told.

Currently open to working with kind, curious, and values-aligned people — creatives, cultural orgs, small brands, and collaborators alike. Get in touch to start a conversation.

We create with those who value intention, story, and substance.

From independent artists to small brands, cultural practitioners, and community organisations — we collaborate with people who care about what they’re building, and how it feels. Whether you’re seeking honest photography, thoughtful design, or storytelling that honours place and people, Tallawudjah Studio offers a space to shape your vision with care.
